Grow Year Round Workshop

Presenters

The instructors for this workshop have decades of experience in controlled environment agriculture. They believe in sustainable, local food production and encourage its practice throughout the world. In this workshop, they will share information on how you can establish a year round, highly productive farming operation that can be profitable using one of several methods of growing in a controlled environment greenhouse.   • John Pade

    John Pade
    Nelson and Pade, Inc
    John Pade has earned industry-wide recognition for his expertise in controlled environment agriculture, greenhouse design, aquaponics and hydroponics. Mr. Pade is vice-president of Nelson and Pade, Inc. and provides consulting and system design services for greenhouses, aquaponics and hydroponics. He is a key presenter in all of Nelson and Pade, Inc.’s workshops and known for his honest and informative teaching style.

    Rebecca Nelson
    Nelson and Pade, Inc.

    Involved in controlled environment agriculture since the 1980’s, Rebecca is passionate about growing fresh, local food on a year ‘round basis. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of hydroponics and aquaponics and is the author of the book, Aquaponic Food Production, is the editor of Aquaponics Journal and a featured speaker in Nelson and Pade, Inc’s workshops and at conferences around the world.

  • Bethany Reinholtz

    Bethany Reinholtz
    Agriculture Energy Advisor, GDS, Focus on Energy

    Bethany Reinholz conducts energy audits for GDS for the Wisconsin Focus on Energy Program. Bethany has an M.S., Environmental Science and Policy, UW-Green Bay, B.S., Zoology/Biology, UW-Madison and is a certified Farm Energy Auditor. Bethany will address energy efficiency in greenhouse design in this workshop.

    Operations Manager, Nelson and Pade, Inc.

    Kathleen has a broad background in business, marketing and sales. In this workshop, she will share her vast marketing experience to help growers plan for and effectively execute a marketing plan.
